Simply Taking Care

Take care. Take care of yourself. Taking care of ourselves, one another, living beings, our planet.

What does it take to “take care?” I don’t know about you, but I have been one to complicate this idea over the course of my decades of living so far. Some of my fellow living beings gave me some reminders in the last 24 hours:

*A robin with a worm a few feet ahead of us on our walk.

*A rabbit munching on some leafy greens a little further down the trail on that same walk.

*A squirrel foraging near the tree right outside our window.

*Mosquitos buzzing around, looking for a meal.

*Our dog Oliver eating breakfast.

Start simply Lisa. Wake up and give thanks for the rest behind you and the day ahead. Breathe. Move your body. Be grateful both are possible. Nurture yourself with quiet meditation, exercise, breakfast.

And Lisa—have a good day, unless you’ve made other plans.
