“Slow with the flow.”
“Slow with the flow.” I found this little note, written by me in my messy handwriting, among a bunch of other random little notes I often end up carrying in my pocket for a few days as reminders. I am not sure who imparted this bit of wisdom on me or when, but thank you Universe for bringing it back around. The crease lines tell me this note was a trusted companion for at least a few days.
“Go with the flow” is about acceptance and open-mindedness. It is about getting out of my own way—not a strong suit for me over the years. I am a doer and I can be quite productive in a day’s time. Productive, but not always very present and peaceful. So coming across “slow with the flow” again came at a good time for me.
A pause. A deep breath. A few minutes to stream a meditation track through my AirPods into my overly active brain. A short walk in the fresh and chilly winter air. A moment to sit in the light of our holiday decorations. Putting pen to paper in one of my journals. All of these help me bring my pace down a notch, and presence and peace become more available.
What does “slow with the flow” look and feel like in your life? If you aren’t sure, do some investigating. Onward . . . slowly.
