Dream a Little Dream

WORD FOR THE DAY

Within your heart, keep one still, secret spot where dreams may go.

-LOUISE DRISCOLL-

“If you don’t have a dream, how can a dream come true?”

-MAUREEN-

These two quotes and the delightful video with Maureen got me thinking about my own dreams. One of them is right here. A website of my own where I can put my various completed writing endeavors and then continue to add new material. New material. That is where dreams are made. To have new material to work with, I need to pay attention, to notice my own inner landscape and the outer landscape I am currently surrounded by. When I do that with a grateful eye, I see opportunity and gifts.

A new day awaits. If I bring the enthusiasm that Maureen talks about, the hours ahead will have more energy and so will I. Dreams form in that energy. Writing from a place of gratefulness opens me up to envision what could be possible. Run a marathon. Write a book. Start gratefulness gatherings. Those all began as little sprouts that were nourished and nurtured. Hard work, discipline, little joys along the way, overcoming bumps in the road, all helped bring those dreams to fruition, and led to new goals. Here I am.

There are more books in the dream file, and thoughts of a half-marathon, along with others that I will just hold in that secret spot for now. Do you have dreams? How are you helping them come true? It takes courage to wake up and get going. Carpe diem!
