Cozy x 3

Cozy. Now there’s a lovely and versatile word. We all know what it means, and yet we may each have a little different way of achieving coziness. Three things come to my mind as I ponder feeling cozy:

Blanket-a blanket I received as a holiday gift has become my new favorite. It’s just the right weight, size, and softness. What more can you ask? It clearly is a favorite among other members of the household too.

Bed-the spacious and comfortable bed I get to sleep in each night at home, my husband Darcy beside me, is a most welcome and cozy place. That is especially so on cold winter mornings. I feel wrapped in warmth and security. What a blessing!

Beverage-my beverage of choice in the morning, besides water, is coffee. It brings a feeling of coziness as I listen to the brew cycle and smell the fresh aroma. And I think many of you can relate when I say the first few sips can certainly be described as cozy as I bring the cup to my lips and sip. What a pleasant little experience!

As I composed sentences and considered cozy in my life, this line came to my mind and heart:

Slow me down Lord!

A simple prayer shared with me years ago. I don’t appreciate the blanket, bed, or beverage if I don’t slow down in the moment and pay attention. Pay attention to what makes you cozy today. Have a good day!

Here’s that cozy and colorful blanket.
