Gratitude Flowing Like Coffee

I decided this morning to keep my post brief, so I am writing it while our first pot of coffee brews. (We usually make two.)

Here is a gratitude list flowing from a pot of coffee:

  1. Fresh water readily available.

  2. Flavored coffee to pleasure the taste buds.

  3. But first to provide a pleasant smell and anticipation.

  4. Our coffee pot—a Keurig duo. It gets daily usage.

  5. Electricity to light the kitchen early in the darkness.

  6. And to operate the coffee pot with a couple of simple button pushes.

  7. The sound made when the brew cycle is done.

  8. Almond milk for creamer.

  9. A variety of mugs with meaningful messages on them.

  10. Today I choose the one that says: “embrace imperfection.”

  11. Those who grew the coffee, harvested it, processed it, got it to the store.

  12. Nature providing what the plants needed for growth.

The coffee is done and so am I. Pick a routine part of your day and make your own list.

I am off to enjoy my first cup of coffee. Have a good day!
